Gutter installation
Gutter Installation in New Braunfels
One piece per run, rolled from flat coil on the trailer in your driveway, hung on hidden hangers and pitched so it actually drains.
Signs you need new gutters
In a hard rain the water comes over the front edge of the gutter in a sheet instead of running along it. Or it runs behind the gutter and streaks the fascia. Or one corner of the house has a washed-out flower bed and a downspout pointing straight at it. Those are the three calls we get most, and all three come back to the same thing: the gutter on that run is either too small, in the wrong place, or full.
New installation fixes it properly rather than patching around it.
What gutters we install
K-style aluminum gutter in five inch or six inch, rolled on site. We hang it on hidden hangers screwed into the fascia, which means nothing straps over the top of the gutter and nothing shows from the ground. Downspouts are sized and placed for the roof area feeding them, not spaced evenly because it looks tidy.
There is a wide selection of colors, so the gutter can either match your trim or quietly disappear against it. We bring the chart when we come to look.
Five inch or six inch: which one your roof needs
Most homes around here were built with five-inch gutters and one downspout per run. That is fine on a small simple roof. It stops being fine when a long roof plane, a valley, or a steep metal roof dumps into it during a Hill Country downpour.
Six inch carries more water, clogs less because the channel is wider, and often needs fewer downspouts to move the same volume. If your roof needs six inch we will tell you. If five inch is plenty, we will tell you that too, and you will pay less. The full comparison is in our guide to five inch versus six inch gutters.
Why one-piece gutters are rolled on your driveway
The machine lives on the trailer. Flat coil goes in one end, finished gutter comes out the other, cut to the exact length of your run. That is what makes it one continuous run: no joints along the length, so there is nothing in the middle to work loose, hold leaves, or start dripping in three years.
Sectional gutter from a big-box store comes in ten foot pieces that get joined on site. Every one of those joints is a future leak and a place for live oak leaves to catch. On a forty foot run that is three or four extra failure points you simply do not have with a rolled run.
What happens on install day
We come look first and measure the roof, check the pitch and the condition of the fascia, and give you a number. If the fascia is soft or rotten behind the old gutter, we will say so before we hang anything on it, because new gutter on bad wood is money wasted.
On install day we set the trailer up in the driveway, roll each run, hang it, set the fall toward the downspouts, fit the downspouts and elbows, and put the kickouts where the water needs to leave. Then we pick up every offcut and every screw and walk the whole run with you before we go. Every step is laid out in what happens on install day.
What gutter installation costs
Pricing depends on how many linear feet, how many stories, how many downspouts, and whether there is fascia work first. We give you the number before we start, and it does not move unless you ask for something different.
We do not publish a per-foot price, because the honest number depends on your roof. Call and we will give you a real one after we have seen it. Our guide to what gutters cost in New Braunfels explains what moves the number.
Warranty on the work
Our work is warranted, and the material and finish carry the manufacturer's own cover. Ask when we quote and we will put the terms in writing with the number.
Where we install gutters
New Braunfels first, where the trailer is parked. Then out to Seguin, Schertz, Cibolo, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Geronimo and Marion. In Schertz the job is mostly swapping builder five-inch for six, in Cibolo it is sizing the run under a big valley, and up at Canyon Lake it is metal roofs that shed water fast.
Questions about gutter installation
How long does a gutter installation take?
Most single-story houses are done in one day. A larger or two-story home can run into a second day. If the fascia behind the old gutter is soft and needs replacing first, that adds time, and we tell you at the quote so nothing changes on the morning of the job.
What does gutter installation cost in New Braunfels?
It depends on four things: how many linear feet of gutter the house needs, how many stories, how many downspouts, and whether the fascia needs work first. Six inch costs more than five inch. We measure, then give you one number before we start, and it does not move unless you change the job.
Do I need six-inch gutters?
Not always. Six inch is the right call on long roof planes, on valleys that dump into one corner, and on metal roofs that shed water fast. On a small, simple roof, five inch does the job and costs less. We look at your roof and tell you which one it needs, even when the answer is the cheaper one.
Do you clean up after the install?
Yes. When the last downspout is on, we pick up every offcut and every screw off the ground. Then we walk the whole run with you, so you can see the pitch, the hangers and where each downspout sends the water before we leave.
